About Us
When I left the beautiful Pennsylvania mountains and relocated to North Carolina, I knew nothing about my new state of residence. Not being one to sit still, I decided to explore everything North Carolina had to offer. To say I was amazed by the diversity and beauty here is an understatement. It greatly exceeded my expectations.
I am currently working on various projects (see bio below) and continue to gather information for this site. It takes time to research, write, and build the site in general (in addition to the other things I do), so visitor patience is greatly appreciated. While there is no way I can, or wish to, compete with NC travel sites dedicated to one specific area, I hope this sampler gives visitors a taste of what North Carolina has to offer. I add new articles and information, and update some sections regularly - please visit again.
FILM PRODUCERS - contact me for help with location scouting. North Carolina offers incentives for film and television producers that rival the best of other states. Plus, the weather is great! Many films and television programs have been shot in NC.

Meet my Muttley Crew - 3/4 of the Dolny-Bombar Fur Factory
I travel with my dogs as often as possible. While my kitty, Juno, prefers to remain at home, the three canine members of The Fur Factory are game for anything. They have been to more states on the east coast and stayed in more motels, hotels, and B&Bs than many children. Traveling with a pet has its challenges, but the number of places opening their doors to our furry friends continues to grow. An added bonus are Doggie Day Care centers, where pets play while their humans explore the no-pets-allowed attractions in town.
In the Pet Friendly Places section of this web site, you'll find information about lodging, dining, day care, and regulations for travel with a pet in North Carolina. Below is my Muttley Crew research team: Beemer, Oscar, and Sammy. I couldn't do this without their help. If you are able and willing to open your heart and home, please consider adopting a homeless pet. Animals teach us the true meaning of unconditional love.
